On 1 October 2008, Dieter Simon (42) takes over as CEO of meiller direct, one of the leading direct marketing service providers in Europe.
In 2001, Simon, who had held various executive positions at Bertelsmann AG since 1992, took over the management of sales and marketing at maul-belser Medienverbund, a subsidiary of arvato Bertelsmann. Following the merger with the printing companies of Axel Springer and Gruner & Jahr, he became Managing Director for Sales at Prinovis Ltd. & Co. KG in 2005, greatly strengthening its leading position in Europe while also achieving a marked increase in production volumes against the general trend in the industry. 

At meiller direct, Simon considers expanding the direct mail, dialog service and document service business fields his primary target: "I want to enhance our services for meiller direct's long-standing customers and expand in the following three areas - new markets, new customers, and new product and service solutions. We will be able to achieve this with a strong meiller team, but we will also intensify our cooperation with the Austrian Post and its subsidiaries, the primary focus being to increase customer benefit."

With Dieter Simon at the helm, meiller direct clearly signals its plans for the future - an international growth strategy, a strong focus on innovation, and maximum customer orientation.

Along with Simon as CEO, who is also in charge of sales and marketing, Managing Director Albert Engelbrecht will remain responsible for finance and administration and Managing Director Manfred Dönges for production and technology.
